Abstract :
ABSTRAK Penulis merumuskan dua rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan sejarah berdirinya dan kontribusinya terhadap pertumbuhan Kekristenan di Klasis Tobadak Raya. Melalui pendekatan historiografi penelitian ini mengeksplorasi latar belakang sejarah, proses pendirian, serta dinamika perkembangan gereja tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh gereja serta pemeriksaan arsipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdirinya Gereja Toraja Mamasa di Tobadak 1 dipengaruhi oleh faktor sosial ekonomi, dengan proses masuknya kelompok transmigrasi dan telah memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan Kekristenan di Klasis Tobadak Raya. Melalui berbagai kegiatan spiritual dan sosial meningkatkan kesejahteraan komunitas. Penelitian ini memberikan hal baru mengenai peran gereja dalam konteks transmigrasi dan memperkaya studi sejarah gereja lokal. Kata Kunci: Sejarah Gereja Lokal, GTM, Rick Warren, Pertumbuhan Kekristenan ABSTRACT The author formulates two problem formulations in this study with the aim of describing the history of the establishment and its contribution to the growth of Christianity in the Tobadak Raya Chassis. Through a historiographic approach, this research explores the historical background, the establishment process, and the dynamics of the church's development. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with church leaders and archival examination. The results show that the establishment of the Toraja Mamasa Church in Tobadak 1 was influenced by socio-economic factors, with the process of the influx of transmigration groups and has contributed significantly to the growth of Christianity in the Tobadak Raya Klasis. Through various spiritual and social activities, it has improved the welfare of the community. This research sheds new light on the role of the church in the context of transmigration and enriches the study of local church history.
