Abstract :
Tulisan ini membahas Sejarah Pekabaran Injil di Toraja oleh GZB dan Gereja Toraja secara khusus di bidang Pengembangan Ekonomi. Para Zending memulai Pekabaran Injil di tiga bidang yakni Khotbah, Pendidikan dan Kesehatan. Konsultasi PI Gereja Toraja serta Sidang Sinode Am serta Rapat Kerja banyak membahas dan memutuskan satu bagian Pekabaran Injil yakni Pengembangan Ekonomi. Hal ini juga didukung oleh kebijakan pemerintah serta lembaga Adat yang ada di Toraja. Pengembangan Ekonomi adalah bagian Pekabaran Injil untuk kesejahteraan umat manusia. ABSTRACT This article discusses the history of the Gospel Preaching in Toraja by GZB and the Toraja Church spccifically in the field of economic development. The Zendings strated preaching the gospel in the three areas, namely Preaching, Education and health. The TorajaChruch P1 consultation as well as the Gegeral Synod Session and Work meeting discussed and decided on one part of the gospel preavhing, namely economic development. This is also supported by govemment policies and traditional institutions in Toraja. Economic Development is part of the Gospel for the welfare of mankind.
