Abstract :
Self-acceptance is the willingness to accept oneself which includes physical conditions, social psychology and self-achievement, both advantages and disadvantages.In this creation, self-acceptance visualization will be carried out in a contemporary batik style and combined with Ceplok batik motifs. The method used for this creation is S.P Gustami's method of creation.The method is about exploration, design, and realization of works. At the exploration stage, it begins with data collection and the data collection used is by analysis and literature study. At the design stage, 12 alternative sketches were made and then 8 selected sketches choosed. Then the design is carried out through the embodiment process. At the realization stage of this entire work, it is using the technique of hand-written batik to machine sewing. For coloring, in this entire work uses a synthetic naphtol color using the dip-cover technique, and for remasol using the colet technique. The final result of this design consists of four pieces of clothing using the contemporary Batik written technique with an Oversize Street Style fashion. It focuses on aesthetic aspects for the assessment without forgetting its main function or old techniques, which are combined and matched with dynamic new styles. The data sources used are visualizations or forms of visual self-acceptance. The four works that have been successfully realized are accept, belle, worthy and unique.
