Abstract :
Godha is a video dance work that departs from the figure of Buta Cakil in the Flower War. This video dance work interprets the figure of Buta Cakil as a symbol of the temptation of Sufiyah lust. Sufiyah lusts are lusts of worldly pleasure as obstacles and obstacles in man. The method of creating Godha dance works uses the method of exploration, improvisation, composition, namely three main parts in the method of creative creation or development according to Hawkins which is then combined with alma Hawkins' method in a book entitled Moving According to The Heart: A New Method in Creating dance works and the book Environmental Choreography (Revitalization of The Style of Exaltation and Creation Style of Nusantara Artists) by Hendro Martono. The result of this work is in the form of a video dance with a duration of 10 minutes 7 seconds starting with a single choreography and ending with a duet choreography. Taken using long-take video shooting techniques and with points of view in between, follow and low angle. The motion motif based on the essence of coklekan motion is taken from the characteristic of the cakilan motion presented in the duet choreography. Dance music in MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) format is combined with rebab and pangkur instruments to strengthen the drama. The staging in this video dance work is in the beach environment of Goa Cemara, featuring bamboo, patchwork, balloons, and garbage fire as artistic supporting elements in the video dance work. The realization of godha's video dance work creates a reflection, that life is full of temptations of lust that must be controlled by awareness. Man's self-awareness that worldly pleasures are obstacles and obstacles becomes a noble value that should be used as a tauladan in life.
