Abstract :
The creation of this jewelry work with the Gomu Gomu no Mi devil fruit
concept started from the writer's habit of reading the One Piece comic series, so he
was interested in making jewelry with the One Piece concept. The devil fruit in the
One Piece comic series by Eiichiro Oda is known as Akuma no Mi, and is one of
the elements of strength in the One Piece comic series. The author is interested in on the theory and opinion of A. A. M. Djelantik (2004.37) is used, which thinks that
aesthetic value in fine art must have elements, namely line, shape, texture, rhythm,
and color. The author also uses the ergonomics approach method from Palgunadi
(2008:37) which explains that ergonomics has an important role in determining
how important the safety and comfort value of a product is to its users. Meanwhile,
the method for creating jewelry works is based on SP theory. Gustami (2007:329)
about three stages and six steps in creating works of art.
In the process of creating this jewelry work, the author succeeded in
creating ten bracelet jewelry works, consisting of two with a flat texture, and eight
with a carved texture. The following are the titles of the Final Assignment works:
