ABSTRAK POLA KOMUNIKASI ANTAR PENGGEMAR GAME ONLINE (Studi Pada Mahasiswa Penggemar Game Online Tingkat Tinggi (Hardcore Gamers) di Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung) Oleh MONIKA DAMAYANTI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pola komunikasi,kehidupan hardcore gamers bahasa verbal dan non verbal pada mahasiswa fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Lampung. Studi pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah sebagai informasi kepada penggemar Game Online. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan 7 informan. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Penentuan informan ditentukan secara snowball sampling pada mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggemar game online menggunakan pola komunikasi bintang, dimana pola komunikasi ini menggambarkan bahwa mahasiswa penggemar game online tersebut saling berinteraksi satu sama lain sehingga membentuk pola bintang, pola segitiga. Pengetahuan informan tentang komunikasi verbal dan non verbal menghasilkan adanya gerak tubuh, bahasa gaul dan simbol-simbol di antara gamers. Kehidupan hardcore gamers. Data were collected using indepth interview, observation and documentation. Determination of informants determined snowball sampling on the students of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Results of this study concluded that online gaming enthusiasts using the communication patterns of stars, where the communication pattern illustrates that the student online gaming fans interact with each other to form a star pattern. Informant knowledge about verbal and non-verbal communication to produce their gestures, slang and symbols among gamers. Living Of Hardcore Gamers.
