ABSTRACT FAKTORS THAT INFLUENCE POLITICAL PARTICIPATION AT BANDAR LAMPUNG MAYORAL ELECTION 2010 (Studies on Kemiling District in Bandar Lampung City) By EKI FERISANDI Bandar Lampung mayoral election in 2010 requires the community to participate actively in order to realize the life of a democratic state. Along with it, the community participation is necessury to succeed in the course of the mayoral election and aspecially in maximizing their vote to determine the choice of candidates who will sit as mayor, many factors in determining the choise for people who can influence their participation in determining a choise of one of candidates for mayor of Bandar Lampung 2010. Therefore, the formulation of the problem in this research is how much the factors that influence political participation at Bandar Lampung mayoral election 2010. This study aims to analyze and determine the factors that influence political participation at Bandar lampung mayoral election 2010. in this case, is the society of Kemiling District in Bandar Lampung city who have chosen. Type of research in quantitative approach obtained from the questionnaires of 100 respondents who have chosen. Responden determained using the proportional area of random sampling taken from a number of sub populations in each village. But the reality on the ground that it has selected as many 64 respondents and the rest didn’t vote. So the data to be analyzed is from respondents who have chosen that as many 64 responden. Based on the result of this research is that Sociological faktors X1 (family role) and X2 (role playing friends) have a pretty good influence on political participation in society Kemiling District with high criteria, Rational choice of faktor X3 (orientation candidates and party programs) and X4 (the media) have an influence on political participation in society Kemiling District with a value of 4,6 and high criteria included factors that have the strongest effect compared with other factors then, Psychological factors X5 (party identification) and X6 (role models) have an influence on political participation in society Kemiling District with a medium criteria. While the overall effect of the factors X1,X2,X3,X4,X5 and X6 on the political participation of society in the Kemiling District is enough or are currently with an average rating of 3,3. ABSTRAK FAKTOR – FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PARTISIPASI POLITIK PADA PEMILIHAN WALIKOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG TAHUN 2010 (Studi Pada Kecamatan Kemiling Kota Bandar Lampung) Oleh EKI FERISANDI Penyelenggaraan pemilihan Walikota Bandar Lampung Tahun 2010 menuntut para masyarakat untuk ikut secara aktif demi terwujudnya kehidupan bernegara yang demokratis. Seiring dengan itu maka partisipasi masyarakat sangat diperlukan untuk mensukseskan jalannya pemilihan walikota tersebut dan terutama dalam memaksimalkan hak pilih mereka untuk menentukan calon pilihannya yang akan duduk sebagai walikota, dalam menentukan pilihannya banyak faktor bagi masyarakat yang dapat mempengaruhi partisipasi mereka dalam menentukan sebuah pilihan pada salah satu calon walikota Bandar Lampung 2010. Oleh karena itu maka rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah seberapa besarkah faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi politik pada pemilihan walikota Bandar Lampung 2010. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi politik pada pemilihan Walikota Bandar Lampung 2010 Dalam hal ini, masyarakat Kecamatan Kemiling Kota Bandar Lampung yang telah memilih. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari hasil kuisioner sejumlah 100 responden yang telah memilih. Responden ditentukan dengan menggunakan proportional area random sampling yang diambil dari banyaknya sub populasi di masing-masing kelurahan, tetapi kenyataan dilapangan bahwa yang telah memilih sebanyak 64 responden dan sisanya tidak memilih. Jadi data yang akan dianalisis adalah data dari responden yang telah memilih yaitu sebanyak 64 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa Faktor Sosiologis X1 (peran keluarga) dan X2 (peran teman sepermainan) memiliki pengaruh yang cukup baik terhadap partisipasi politik masyarakat Kecamatan Kemiling dengan kriteria Tinggi, Faktor Pilihan rasional X3 (orientasi kandidat dan program partai) dan X4 (peran media) memiliki pengaruh terhadap partisipasi politik masyarakat kecamatan kemiling dengan skor 4,6 dan kriteria tinggi termasuk faktor yang memiliki pengaruh yang terkuat dibandingkan dengan faktor lainnya, lalu Faktor Psikologis X5 (identifikasi partai) dan X6 ( ketokohan) memiliki pengaruh terhadap partisipasi politik pada masyarakat Kecamatan Kemiling dengan kriteria sedang.
