Abstract :
ABSTRACT MANUFACTURING OF GLYCERIL TRINITRATE FROM GLYCEROL WITH CAPACITY 95.000 TONS/YEAR (Design of Neutralizer (NE-301)) By Verraprinita Arizal Glyceril Trinitrate plant with raw materials glycerol a nd ni t r i c a c i d is planned to be built in Subang, Jawa Barat. Establishment of this plant is based on some consideration due to the raw material resourcess, the transportation, the labors availability and also the environmental condition. This plant is meant to produce 20.000 tons/year with 330 working days in a year. The raw materials used consist of 517 kg/hour of glycerol and 1517 kg/hour of nitric acid. The utility units consist of water supply system, instrument air supply system, power generation system, and refrigerant supply system. The bussines entity form is Limited Liability Company (Ltd) using line and staff organizational structure with 135 workers. From the economic analysis, it is obtained that: Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) = Rp. 207.228.686.284,- Working Capital Investment (WCI) = Rp. 36.569.768.168,- Total Capital Investment (TCI) = Rp. 243.798.454.452,- Break Even Point (BEP) = 36,18 % Shut Down Point (SDP) = 26,51% Pay Out Time before taxes Pay Out Time after taxes Return on Investment before taxes (POT) b (POT) a (ROI) b = 1,04 tahun = 1,27 tahun = 73,15% Return on Investment after taxes (ROI) a = 58,51% Interest Rate of Return (IRR) = 32,7 % Considering the summary above, it is proper to study the establishment of Acrylic Acid plant further, because the plant is profitable and has good prospects. Pendiriaan pabrik berdasarkan atas pertimbangan ketersediaan bahan baku, sarana transportasi yang memadai, tenaga kerja yang mudah didapatkan dan kondisi lingkungan. Pabrik direncanakan memproduksi Glycerol Trinitrate sebanyak 20.000 ton/tahun, dengan waktu operasi 24 jam/hari, 330 hari/tahun. Bahan baku yang digunakan adalah gliserol sebanyak 517 kg/jam. Penyediaan kebutuhan utilitas pabrik terdiri dari unit pengadaan air general uses, pengadaan air pendingin, pengadaan udara instrument, dan pengadaan listrik. Bentuk perusahaan adalah Perseroan Terbatas (PT) menggunakan struktur organisasi line dan staff dengan jumlah karyawan sebanyak 104 orang.
