ii ABSTRACT ANALYSIS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONDITION THE COMMUNITY OVER THE PRESENCE OF PT. INDOKOM SAMUDRA PERSADA IN KEMANG HAMLET, SUKANEGARA VILLAGE, TANJUNG BINTANG SUB-DISTRICT, SOUTH LAMPUNG DISTRICT. By: MELITA RAMADHANI The purpose of this research is to know the changing socio-economic conditions of Kemang Hamlet Community over the presence of PT. Indokom Samudra Persada. The methods used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques are used is in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the interaction between people in the hamlet of Kemang still going well after the establishment of the company. The existence of industry did not affect education in the village of Sukanegara in terms of the advancement of education and infrastructure. There is a change in the mindset of the citizens of the village of Kemang become more rational in terms of education from its inception the industry until recently. Kemang Village Community education awareness is also pretty good, current education is considered essential and preferred. The presence of industrial waste to make the health of the local people become distracted, but the company's attention towards the health of the local people did not seem to exist. The existence of industry brings the effect on the livelihood of the population changes and increased the business opportunities of local people. People's income after the industry experienced a rise especially for employees and traders, from the income of the majority of the community are able to meet the needs of his life. Indokom Samudra Persada. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu wawancara secara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Interaksi antara masyarakat di Dusun Kemang masih berlangsung dengan baik setelah berdirinya perusahaan. Keberadaan industri tidak berpengaruh terhadap pendidikan di Desa Sukanegara dalam hal kemajuan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan. Terdapat perubahan pola pikir warga Dusun Kemang menjadi lebih rasional dalam hal pendidikan dari awal berdirinya industri sampai saat ini. Kesadaran pendidikan masyarakat Dusun Kemang saat ini juga cukup bagus, pendidikan saat ini dianggap penting dan diutamakan. Adanya limbah industri membuat kesehatan warga setempat menjadi terganggu, namun perhatian perusahaan terhadap kesehatan warga sekitar nampaknya tidak ada. Keberadaan industri membawa pengaruh terhadap perubahan mata pencaharian penduduk dan menambah peluang usaha masyarakat setempat. Pendapatan masyarakat setelah adanya industri mengalami kenaikan khususnya untuk para karyawan dan para pedagang, dari pendapatan tersebut mayoritas masyarakat sudah mampu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya.
