ii ABSTRACT CORRELATIONS OF JOB CHARACTERISTICS WITH THE EMPLOYEE?S JOB SATISFACTION OF THE DIVISION V DEPARTMENT PLANTATION PT. GUNUNG MADU PLANTATIONS By AGHATA AJENG GLEDIS CHRISTA This research aims to examine and explain the correlations of job characteristics with the employee?s job satisfaction of the Division V Department Plantations of PT. Gunung Madu Plantations Lampung Tengah. This study uses a quantitative approach explanatory. This research using quantitative research methods correlational research with the aim to determine whether there is a correlation of two or more variables, with the technique of bivariate correlation to test and determine the relationship of two variables. Population in this research is all employees of the Division V Department Plantation amounted to 54 people. In addition, this study uses data collection techniques in this research is done with questionnaires, secondary data sources, and documentation. Instrument test in this research is by using test validity and test reliability. The data analysis technique used in this research is the analysis of the quantitative data with the presentation of frequency distribution and Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed the correlations of job characteristics with the employee?s job satisfaction of the Division V Department Plantation PT. Gunung Madu Plantations Lampung Tengah has a low correlations and direction, as well as a significant relationship of 0.035. Keywords: Employees, Job Characteristics, Job Satisfaction Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menjelaskan hubungan antara karakteristik pekerjaan dengan kepuasan kerja karyawan Divisi V Departemen Plantations PT. Gunung Madu Plantations Lampung Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasional yang merupakan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara dua variabel atau lebih, dengan teknik korelasi bivariat untuk menguji serta mengetahui hubungan dua variabel. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan Divisi V Departemen Plantation berjumlah 54 orang. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kuesioner, sumber data sekunder, dan dokumentasi. Uji instrumen dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kuantitatif dengan penyajian distribusi frekuensi dan uji korelasi Rank Spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan antara karakteristik pekerjaan dengan kepuasan kerja karyawan Divisi V Departemen Plantation PT. Gunung Madu Plantations Lampung Tengah memiliki hubungan yang rendah dan searah, serta hubungan yang signifikan sebesar 0.035. Kata kunci: Karyawan, Karakteristik Pekerjaan, Kepuasan Kerja
