Abstract :
ABSTRACT
Background: The poor quality of education is one of the serious problems
which faced by education field in Indonesia. The lack of socialization of education
caused the low community concern about the education. Based on preliminary
study, it found that the student number of remedy test was decreasing during
2011 -2013 ( 53 students or 39.9 % ). However, there was increasing number of
the students who got E grade for the basic clinical practice study subject.
Objective: This purpose of this research is to figure out the correlation
between attitude and study motivation towards basic clinical practice study
achievement among the second semester of D IV midwifery department Aisyiyah
health Sciences College of Yogyakarta.
Research Method: This study was analytic survey study with
retrospective time approach by using primary and secondary data. The sample of
this study was 100 students from 133 students population by using accidental
sampling technique. Kendall tau test was employed as statistical data analysis.
Result: Based on the Kendall tau test, attitude and study motivation were
correlated with study achievement with p-value 0,035 and 0,001 (p< 0,05 ), and
both of the variables have coefficient contingency 0,208 and 0,313.
Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between attitude and
study motivation towards basic clinical practice study achievement among the
second semester of D IV midwifery department Aisyiyah health Sciences College
of Yogyakarta.
Suggestion: The students should increase and keep their study motivation
and attitude in order to achieve their study.
