Abstract :
The result of preliminary studies in RS Bhayangkara Polda DIY 60% of mothers did not know about colostrum and not give colostrum to her baby. The objective to identify the relationship between th e level of knowledge about colostrum with colostrum behavior in breastfeeding moth ers in RS Bhayangkara Polda DIY 2010. The methods descriptive that are correla tive with cross sectional approach, using questionnaires completed by respondents who have tested the validity and reliability by other researchers and has tested the validity and reliability of repeated (applied) by the researcher. With Kendal tau analysis method.The results showed that respondents with good know ledge of 70% will give the baby colostrum well. From the analysis of da ta obtained Kendal Ta u correlation value of 0.565 with significance level of 0,001 (p<0,05).
