Abstract :
The role of parents in the fulfillment of basic needs for children is a role or
involvement of parents in educating children who attempts to optimize the ch
ild's
development, including the role of Foster, Asih, Sharpening. Development of the
child include fine motor, gross motor, speech and language development, as well
as the development of socialization. The purpose of this study is to determine the
relatio
nship between the role of parents in the fulfillment of basic needs with the
development of pre
-school age children (3
-5 years) in Yogyakarta in 2013 TPA
Beringharjo
The design of this research study using correlation with cross sectional approach.
The po
pulation in this study were parents of children aged 3
-5 years and is
deposited in the landfill Beringharjo Yogyakarta in 2013. The sample used in this
study is the total sampling by 45 respondents. Ststistik test using kendallTauuntuk
know the role of par
ents in the fulfillment of basic needs with the development of
pre
-school age children (3
-5 years)
Results of the 45 respondents there were 27 respondents (60.00%) the role of
parents in the fulfillment of the basic needs of both with normal child
develop
ment and there is one respondent (2.2%) the role of parents in the
fulfillment of basic needs to the development of children less untestable. With the
value of ? = 0.46 and p value 0.02 (p<0.05)
The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship
