Abstract :
Thesis entitle ?Air Crew Insurance Upon The Occurrence Of Aircraft Accident?. The problem formulation is how the legal liability system of the airline against the air crew of the aircraft and how does the role of insurance in the settlement of compensation for the air crew whom died, injury, temporary disability, and/or permanent disability due to aircraft accident, is analyzed because of the nature of actuality. The type of research of this thesis is a normative legal research. Normative legal research is a research for examine the implementation of positive law in the form of legislations on flights and regulations of airline companies about the legal liability system of airlines and the role of insurance to the air crew whom died, injury, temporary disability, and/or permanent disability. Legal liability from the airline to the air crew is a contractual liability. The contractual liability given because of the contractual relationship which is owned by both parties. The type of insurance provided is commercial insurance which is voluntary that happens because the will of the airline to provide protection to the air crew. Air crew insurance upon the aircraft accident has a very big role as the guarantor for the safety of air crew, therefore air crew feel they have a guarantee if the risks being reality.
