Abstract :
In writing this thesis research examines the influence of coaching on the issue of
inmate drug in preventing repetition of criminal acts in the Penitentiary of Class
II-A of Yogyakarta. It is in the background because it backs on drug crime is a
very complex problem, which requires a comprehensive prevention efforts
involving cooperation multidispliner, multisectoral, and community are actively
carried out continuously, and consistently so that the expected role of the
Correctional Institution to provide guidance to inmates can be influential in the
prevention of recidive. From this background it can be formulated problem is the
influence of coaching on prisoners in the Penitentiary prevent recidive Class II-A
of Yogyakarta, and the limiting factor, especially coaching addict inmates at the
institution in preventing recidive Pemasyarakat Class II-A of Yogyakarta. This
study aims to determine the influence of narcotics training inmates in preventing
repetition of criminal acts in Prison Drug Class II-A of Yogyakarta and to know
the factors that impede development, especially narcotics addict inmates in
preventing repetition of criminal acts in the Penitentiary. The research method
used is research that focuses on the normative legal norms and legal materials as
the main data. Interviewees in this study is KASI BINADIK in Prison Narcotics
Class II-A of Yogyakarta. Data was collected through interviews and literature
methods. Analysis of data obtained in the literature and field studies were
processed and analyzed qualitatively. Based on the research results can be
obtained conclusions: (1) Effect of training inmates to prevent a repeat drug
offense in Prison Drug Class II-A Yogyakarta has given good effect in preventing
the repetition of criminal acts (recidive) (2) Factors inhibiting drug development
in particular inmate addicts in preventing repetition of criminal acts include: (a)
factors, internal and external inhibiting factors. Responding to the facts mentioned
above, the researchers suggested that Penitentiary Class II-A Narcotics
Yogyakarta can better consider the condition of prisoners physical and mental,
recruit human resources who are experts in dealing with prisoners, especially drug
addicts, and holding facilities, infrastructure, and supporting infrastructure
