Abstract :
Vigilante actions or self punishment is forbidden by the law, because that acts are a violance and inhumaly treating to someone that committed by law. but in facts, people are used to do vigilante actions or self punishment againts the caughted perpetrators of crimes committed. That was a impact of an anger and an upset people with the action that the perpetrators of crime committed did. Vigilante actions or self punishment are clearly not regulated in the Penal Code and by other regulations, but in case by acts of persecution, humiliation and other acts that contrary to applicable laws, the perpetrators of acts of vigilantism or self punishment can be dealt and processed by law. The process and repression of acts of vigilante or self punishment players are not an easy thing be done by law enforcement officials (police), cause it needs a sufficient evidence based on facts that occurred at the site. That facts can be gain from the testimony of people who know and are there at time when vigilante actions or self punishment happened, for that, a harmonious cooperation is needed between communities and law enforcement officers (police) to take action against perpetrators of acts of vigilantismor self punishment, in order for the creation of a legal certainty.
