Abstract :
This research made by the author to find out the purpose and role of government in the rehabilitation
of street children victims of economic exploitation. Legal writing is done by the method of
normative legal approach. The study focuses on a review of laws, literature studies, and interviews
with resource persons engaged in the protection of street children. In rehabilitation has an important
role towards the restoration of street children as victims of economic exploitation. The rehabilitation
process is done by the government through a series of procedures established by local law. This
research produces conclusions which the government's role in efforts against street children victims
of economic exploitation is not maximized. Socialization of laws, legislation carefully and do not
violate other provisions in addition to an active role in protecting the community of street children
victims of economic exploitation.
