Abstract :
The rapid globalization of trade in particular in the field of industry knowledge discrepancy cause consumers against high-tech products. Responsibility business people of illegal smartphone distribution is purposed to know the responsibility that business people have and to know the effort which could be pursued by illegal smartphone consumer in demanding compensation. The study uses empirical research methods , which perform testing the extent to which regulatory liability business agent running legislation. The result of this study on retailer that they broke the regulation of UUPK and most of them in Plaza Millenium in Medan aren?t responsible on illegal smartphone they sold. For this, consumer are rights to ask helps from consumer organisation in medan or Consumer Dispute Settlement Body as mediator in finishing the dispute between seller-buyer. If the consumers aren?t satisfy enough, they are also right to fill a lawsuit.
