Abstract :
Socialization institution is a place wherein a prisoner constructed and guided to be a better person. The prisoner of narcotic case is one of the examples of prisoners should be constructed. The prisoner of narcotic use is different to the general prisoner by reason the prisoner of narcotic has addiction towards the narcotic. To relieve this addiction, thus the prisoner of narcotic needs the construction and rehabilitation in order he can be relieve from the sense of addicted and could be a good member of society. Thus it needs the existence of research to know about the construction and rehabilitation conducted in socialization institution in particularly in socialization institution of narcotic of Yogyakarta. This research was conducted in narcotic socialization of Yogyakarta by using method of research comprised of normative research type, primary legal source data source, method of data collection comprised of the interview and study of literature. The implementation of construction and rehabilitation conducted in socialization institution of narcotic of Yogyakarta is still conducted based on the Act of Socialization in generally. The prisoner of narcotic in socialization institution of narcotic in Yogyakarta gains no rehabilitation as stipulated in the act of narcotic. The implementation of construction and rehabilitation mostly still use system of construction in generally. The implementation of construction and rehabilitation conducted in socialization institution of narcotic of Yogyakarta can not be conducted maximally by reason the lack of medium and prerequisite as well as the expert in field. To overwhelm the barriers faced it needs the existence of regulation on the method of construction and particular rehabilitation towards the prisoners of narcotic. In short term it needs the existence of mixed cooperation between the institution of socialization as a place for the prisoner to be constructed by the institution or organization which comprehends on the procedure of construction and rehabilitation.
