Abstract :
Background of the research is because there is a digital collection in Atma Jaya University?s library. Similar with a book collection, the digital collection also need to be preserved. This case happens because there is damage in saving the media or a reducing quality in digital collection along with the time goes by. Therefore, strategy plan is needed to preserve digital collection, especially for the readiness of Atma Jaya University?s library toward the broken media and the reducing quality of digital collection. Meanwhile the researcher uses qualitative approach and descriptive method to do the research. Data collection is done by interviewing chosen interviewee and studying the things related to the activity of digital preservation in Atma Jaya University?s library. The result of the study states that the strategy of preservation in digital collection applied in Atma Jaya University?s library is technological preservation, refreshing and migration.
