Abstract :
Writing legal research is titled "Case Study Against Delay in Payment of Wages Workers / Labor In Contractor Agawe Studio Giwangan Yogyakarta". Wages are the main component in a working agreement between the employer and the worker. The employment agreement includes the amount of wages and time wages are paid. If the wages are paid late in the allotted time, the right of workers to receive wages are not met by the employer. The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of the delay in payment of wages and to investigate the role of the Department of Labor as the party of law enforcement related to the case. This type of research is empirical legal research that focuses on people's behavior through the processing of qualitative data based on primary data and secondary data. Article 95 of the Employment Act provides that employers are due to deliberate action or negligence has caused delays in payment of wages, fined according a certain percentage of the wages of workers. Implementation of sanctions conducted by the Department of Manpower. Based on the analysis found that the employers and the Department of Labor does not implement the provisions of the legislation as it should be.
