Abstract :
Plate is one of reinforced concrete construction element having very unique geometry form, i.e. the thickness is smaller than other dimensions. Triangular plate is important to be studied with respect to moment capacity, deflection and crack type.
Triangular plate considered in this study has dimensions 1000 mm each side, thickness 50 mm and the main reinforcement is 4 mm. This thesis will study triangular plate where various reinforcement arrangements are placed. The slab reinforcement are placed at various spacing , i.e., 50 mm, 75 mm and 100 mm.
The result of this research shows that of the same spacing of reinforcement, the reinforcement with 0°,60° and 90° with respect to one side of plate. The slab reinforcements are placed at various spacing , i.e. 50 mm, 75 mm and 100 mm.
The result of this research shows that of the same spacing of reinforcement, the reinforcement with 0° orientations has the highest moment capacity and flexural Rigidity. While reinforcement, with 90° orientation result in the lowest moment capacity. The resulting moments for 0° orientation are 5.38 kNm, 4.86 kNm and 4.46 kNm for spacing 50 mm, 75 mm and 100 mm, respectively. The largest deflection obtained from experimental is 12.8 mm for the case 60° orientation at spacing 100 mm reinforcement. From the experimental results, it is obtained that the crack pattern is not influenced by the reinforcement pattern. The crack disseminate to the direction of nearest edge.
