Abstract :
Drug abuse is a problem in society despite eradication efforts have been done
continuously. South Borneo as a province that has a region with a lot of rivers,
both small rivers and large rivers become one of the areas with the highest rate of
illicit trafficking in Indonesia. Many rivers utilized as an exit and entry of illicit
goods. This is what makes the writer interested in lift the title South Kalimantan
Police efforts in combating illicit trafficking, the problem is how the efforts made
by South Borneo Police in dealing with illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and
what obstacles encountered. The method used is empirical legal research methods.
After conducting the research, it is known that in conducting illicit trafficking
countermeasures South Borneo Police conduct preventive and repressive efforts,
while obstacles encountered consist of external and internal obstacles. As a
suggestion from South Borneo Police, the writer should take measures to
minimize the difficulties in implementing countermeasures illicit trafficking in
South Borneo so that it can be eradicated completely.
