Abstract :
The title of this legal writing is Socialization System in the effort to prevent residive at socialization Institute of Sragen. This research aims at detecting the socialization system in the effort to prevent residive so that residive don?t repeat to commit crimes and to find out obstacles faced in carrying out programs of the socialization Institution. This in an empirical legal research and needs primary data as the main data,besides the secondary data found out from legal opinions, books, and internet. The data collected more analyzed qualitatively in order to have the description of the problems researched. The conclution was taken by using inductive method, that a way of thinking by starting from general knowledge to evaluate specific evens in the fields. From research result indicated that residiveswere carried out because of same factors such as economic problems, the difficulty of getting jobs after the prisoners were releast, there were no capitals to carry out bussines, the difficulty of getting alloy with people in the society after coming out from the socialization Institute,the existace of stigma available in the society about the residivists. Besides, job trainings given to them in the socialization institution were not appropriate with their characteristics, interests and wishes, or were not appropriate with the condition and needs of the society. Where as the obstacles faced are lack of budget for the execution of guidance, lack of guidance providers, lack of means to support self help guidance programs, and building constructions which are not condusive because they were in herited by the Dutch Colonial
