Abstract :
The title of this legal research is the effectiveness of the Public Service Division Civil Registration In Kulon Progo Regency After Applicability of Act No. 25 of 2009 on the Public Service. The purpose of this legal research is to determine the effectiveness of the public service population and civil registration in Kulon Progo regency government after the enactment of Law No. 25 of 2009 on the Public Service. The type of this legal research was empirical legal research. The data source used was primary data as main data despite of secondary data used as supporting data. Results of the study of law is the public service in the field of population and civil registration in Kulon Progo have led to the effectiveness of public services, it is evidenced by the one-day service, SIAK (Population Administration Information System) that facilitate and speed up the administration of residence of the districts, the results survey of IKM (Community Satisfaction Index), which is conducted every year by the department of population and civil registration Kulon Progo with the results of the assessment of society qualify as "good", and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and SPP (Standard Public Service) so as to realize the protection and certainty the law for the public in the administration of public services in the field of population and civil registration.
