Abstract :
The objective of research in this paper is as follows: 1. To know the police efforts in ward off the sale of stolen motorcycle spareparts in social media in the region of Yogyakarta Police. 2. To know is there any obstacle for the police role in ward off the sale of stolen motorcycle spareparts in Yogyakarta social media. The research methods using qualitative methods, the analysis is done by understanding the range of data collected systematically so as to obtain a comprehensive overview of the issues examined. Law research is normative legal writing is to do the abstraction through a process of positive legal norms in the form of systematic laws that describe and analyze the structure and the positive law. Results of the study are DI Yogyakarta Police has conducted preventive efforts in ward off the sale of stolen motorcycle spare parts in social media the form of socialization and outreach through Babinkamtibmas which is the task of the police in accordance with the Police Act. Constraints faced in ward off the sale of stolen motorcycle spare parts in social media the form of proof, people are less proactive to behave such crime and the lack of personnel in ward off such crime.
