Abstract :
This thesis entitled "The efforts of the police in providing protection for victims of hit and run". the number of traffic violations in large cities make the police must be prepared to carry out its duties and responsibilities in society as law enforcement officers. many victims are found to violate traffic, it is necessary for police efforts in providing protection for victims of traffic accidents. Protection procedures such as: receiving reports from the public, coordinating with relevant agencies, came to the scene of the accident, take the victim to the nearest hospital, secure evidence, conduct research in the scene, to call witnesses to the inquiry, and submit the case file to the public prosecutor. The constraints faced by the police in performing such procedures is the lack of infrastructure, funding, and ethics in traffic, so that the accident would not have happened if people had ethics in pass-traffic.
