Abstract :
The increase in the number of means of transportation in the city each year impact also on increasing the amount of exhaust gas or emissions are released into the ambient air. Improvement of exhaust gas is potentially causing air
pollution in the city of Yogyakarta. One of the air pollution control efforts undertaken by the Government of the city of Yogyakarta is to do management of Green open space in the city of Yogyakarta. Based on the background of the issue above, the authors are interested in doing legal research with the title of air pollution control through management of Green open space in the city of Yogyakarta. In this author's legal research examines how the implementation and obstacles faced in order to control air pollution through management of Green open space in the city of Yogyakarta. Legal research is done using the empirical research methods with data in the form of source material primary law, secondary legal materials and legal materials tertiary. The collection of data is carried out by means of field studies and the study of librarianship while to analyze the data using qualitative analysis that is comparing the data in the field with the primary and secondary legal materials. With drawal methods using deductive methods of inference. Based on the results of research and analysis of the author, then it can be expressed as the following research results: that the implementation of air pollution control through management of Green open space in the city of Yogyakarta, which has been running less effective, This is due to not yet satisfy the public open green space extents in accordance with mandated by legislation, in addition to the placement of public open green space there has been less impressed right on target. Obstacles faced in order to control air pollution through management of Green open space in the city of Yogyakarta, namely the limitation of land for open space for public Green procurement due to the high land prices offered by the community.
