Abstract :
This study aims to find out the form, function, and mean of reduplication of Manggarai word dialect in West Manggarai to the people of Benteng Dewa village, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The method used is descriptive qualitative method using of simak and cakap. The results reduplication of Manggarai language word Manggarai West dialect there are only theree forms of reduplication, that is: reduplication of basic word, (5 data), reduplication partial (3 data) and reduplication affix (2 data), consists of two function namely the function changes the word (8 data) and function to not change the word class (11 data), that is: ekspreesthe meaning of alout (6 data), state the meaning state or nature (5 data), state the meaning of having funor relax (5 data) state the meaning resembles (4 data) and ekspres mutual meaning (4 data). Based on data obtained by researchers fromtotal data, fifty-four from or meaning reduplication, of the total data, (from ofreduolication 11 data, function 19 data, and meaning of reduplication (24 data word).
