Abstract :
ALFIAN, (2018) : Tongkek Musical Organology in Pancor village, Selong, East Lombok 2017 / 2018. Thesis of Programs Art Studies Drama, Dance and Music, Hamzanwadi University. Keyword: Organology, Musical Instrument, Tongkek, Pancor Tongkek musical organology in Pancor Village, Selong Subdistrict, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province has an important role to play, which focuses on the process of making and tuning the tongkek musical instrument. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects in this research were a tongkek craftsman. Data collection techniques used in this researchwere interviews, laboratory tests and documentation. Examination of data validity in this research uses triangulation sources. Data analysis techniques consist of four stages, namely datacollection, reduction, data display, andconclusion drawing/verification. The results of this research contain detailed tongkek organology instruments. Firstly, in the manufacturing process the pay attention to the quality craftsmen of the tools and materials to be used, such as the level of drought, thickness, sharpness of the blade and the diameter of the bamboo used. Secondly, the tuning process, the most important things in the tuning process is the sense sensitivity of each craftsman. And then good quality raw materials also support sound quality on tongkek. So with this research, tongkek music players will get to know tongkek instruments better and understand the importance of caring for tongkek musical instruments wisely. So,tongkek musical instruments can be used optimally and expected to bring up tongkek makers with good sound quality.
