Abstract :
Interest is a feeling of preference and a sense of interest in something or activity, without being told. Interest is basically the acceptance of a relationship between oneself and something outside oneself. This study aims to analyze the determinants of interest in prospective students choosing the Bachelor of Accounting major at Perbanas University Hayam Wuruk. The population and sample used in the current study were prospective high school and vocational students, the sample used was prospective high school and vocational students in the Tuban area. The sample collection technique in this study was by snowball sampling method and 100 research samples were obtained. The data used is primary data with data analysis techniques used, namely measurement model tests (outer model) and structural model tests (inner model) with the help of the WarpPLS 7.0 software program and the Microsoft office Excel software program. Based on the results of this study, it has been shown that educational costs and reputation affect the interest of prospective students to choose the Bachelor of Accounting major at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University, while socio-economic background and facilities do not affect the interest of prospective students to choose the Bachelor of Accounting major at Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University.
