Abstract :
Insurance is an agreement where the individual will receive financial protection from the insurance company for the agreement as the insurer. The possibility for someone to experience physical or material loss or loss in the future, is something that is certainly not desired by any individual. Even so, not many have the thought of protecting themselves using insurance. This study aims to predict a person's decision to have insurance on three variables, namely motivation to save, financial literacy and individual perceptions. Quantitative method is the method used in this research, by using data as material for analysis, exposure reviews conducted using a questionnaire as a data source. The questionnaire was then distributed to 199 respondents using convenience sampling technique. The data was collected first, then the data was processed using logistic regression in the SPSS application for Windows. The results of this study indicate that the motivation to save, financial literacy and individual perceptions are able to predict a person's decision to have insurance. Any increase in the variables of motivation to save, financial literacy and individual perceptions will also cause an increase in a person's decision to have insurance.
