Abstract :
This research aims to determine the effect of founder involvement and foreign ownership on the financial performance of family companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research method used is a quantitative method. This research uses a multiple linear regression model with the help of the SPSS version 23 program. The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of annual reports of family companies published by the IDX in 2019 - 2022. The sample was selected from a purposive sampling method and obtained a sample of 26 companies
from several criteria have been established. The dependent variable in this research is the company's financial performance or company financial performance. The
independent variables used are founder involvement and foreign ownership. Apart from that, the control variables in this research are company age, company size and sales growth. The results of this research show that founders have an influence on the company's financial performance and foreign ownership has no effect on the company's financial performance. The control variables, namely company age and sales growth, have no effect on the company's financial performance, while company size has an effect on the company's financial performance.
