Abstract :
Academic cheating is a dishonest act of breaking the rules of an institution for personal gain. Academic cheating can damage the image of college graduates in the eyes of society, both nationally and internationally. So this research aims to test and analyze the effect of hexagon fraud on the academic cheating of students at private universities in the city of East Surabaya, namely Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University and Surabaya University. This research uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires to collect data. In data analysis, this research used SPSS 26. This research used 106 students, 80 Hayam Wuruk Perbanas University students, and 26 Surabaya University students. The results of this research show that pressure, opportunity, and arrogance influence academic fraud. Meanwhile, rationalization, ability and collusion have no effect on academic fraud.
