Abstract :
Financial distress is a phase of decline in financial conditions before bankruptcy occurs in a company. This research aims to examine the influence of institutional ownership, leverage, operating capacity, managerial agency costs, and independent commissioners. This research was conducted on infrastructure sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange or the company's personal website for the 2020-2022 period. The sample used was 159 company data for the 2020-2022 period using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis technique uses logistic regression analysis using SPSS 23. The results of this research analysis show that the variables leverage and managerial agency costs have a positive effect on financial distress and the variables institutional ownership, operational capacity and independent commissioners have no effect on financial distress.
