Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of direct financial literacy includes knowledge of finance, financial planning, and control themselves against financial management behaviors of students in Surabaya. And in this study, also using a different test used to determine whether there are differences in the financial literacy of students seen from demographic factors. The respondents in this study are students in Surabaya, with 105 respondents, and the methods used are nonrandom sampling. This research use programming multiple regression analysis with SPSS 16.0 for windows software, to demonstrate that knowledge of finance, financial planning, and self control simultaneously affect the behavior of financial management. Then the financial knowledge, and self control does not directly affect the behavior of financial management, whereas in financial planning has an impact on the behavior of financial management Keyword : Knowledge of finance, financial planning, locus of control, and demographic factors on behavioural finance management
