Abstract :
This research purposed to seek the influences of motivation and performance toward accounting student?s interest to take career in public accountant office. In this research found two hypotheses that tested by the writer namely (1) motivation have significant influence toward accounting student?s interest to take career in Public Accountant Office; (2) performance have significant influence toward accounting student?s interest to take career in Public Accountant Office. This research done by taking sample population of 100 respondents from Accounting students of STIE Perbanas Surabaya who was take and had took audit practice course, where sampling based on Judgment sampling. Data of this research then processed by using multiple regression method through statistic application SPPS 16. The results of this research are: (1) first hypothesis is accepted because there is significant influence from motivation variable toward interest; (2) second hypothesis is accepted because there is significant influence from performance variable toward interest. Keywords : Motivation, Student performance, and Accounting student?s interest to take career in Public Accountant Office.
