Abstract :
The stock return of some manufacturing companies has increased for the last three years. That increase can be influenced by several factors, macro and micro factors. One of the micro factors is financial performance. The companies that has good financial performance, can increase their sales so their profits are also increase. When the company profits are high, then the investors will expect high stock return as well. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the liquidity ratio, solvency ratio, profitability ratio, activity ratio, and investment opportunity set (IOS) has an effect on stock return. This study is quantitative research. The data that used in this study is secondary data and sample collection technique using purposive sampling so that found 148 sample data of manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2012-2016. Data analysis technique that used in this study is descriptive statistic analysis, classical assumption test and hypothesis test by using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the liquidity ratio, profitability ratio, and activity ratio has an effect on stock return. While the solvency ratio and investment opportunity set (IOS) has no effect on stock return.
