Abstract :
The placement of the layout must be adjusted to the purpose of the
building itself. Standards to determine whether the layout in the test building is
worthy of being used as a reference, need to pay attention to several things such
as time efficiency, convenience, and service. In testing motorized vehicles in
Indonesia, the layout of the test equipment varies. Arrangement of good test
facilities plays an important role in the implementation of the exam because it
directly affects the smoothness of the exam process, which can shorten exam time,
provide convenience and flexibility for examiners. Qualitative data analysis method
used in this study. Qualitative analysis functions as data analysis which is carried
out simultaneously with data collection. Data collection is in the form of primary
data, namely observation notes, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile,
secondary data was obtained from literature studies and previous research
journals. Furthermore, data is collected, then conclusions are drawn from the
interviews that have been conducted to determine the reasons that will be used in
selecting the title that will be given a numerical code. Data were analyzed using
the Activity Relationship Chart method. The following layout proposal is a
representation of the stages of the Activity Relationship Chart so that the results
of the proposed layout are obtained. The layout design of the test equipment is
made to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, as well as safety and health in
testing motorized vehicles with a test sequence that takes a long time to be placed
first so that there is no accumulation of vehicles in the test building. The
government needs to stipulate regulations regarding the layout of test equipment,
because there are regulations related to the construction of motorized vehicle
testing centers, it is also necessary to have regulations for the placement of test
equipment.
