Abstract :
The increase in population followed by an increase in the number of private
vehicles causes the development of human activities in a place, especially in the
center of urban activities. Transportation is used to make it easier for humans to
carry out daily activities. Meanwhile, transportation problems in cities in
Indonesia today, from small to large cities, cannot be separated from the rapidly
growing national development.
The data collection technique in this study was carried out with the
Intersection Inventory technique, Vehicle Speed Data, and Traffic Volume Data.
The data analysis method used in this study was the 1997 MKJI and the Vissim
application. Conducting inventory surveys at intersections and determining peak
hours with the CTMC (Classified Turning Moving Counting) method which is
carried out based on the direction of vehicle movement so as to get the results of
existing conditions. Then, the performance of the mirror market intersection was
calculated according to the 1997 MKJI and a VISSIM simulation was carried out,
as well as alternative treatments.
After calculating the 1997 MKJI and simulating the application on VISSIM,
then a comparative test on the results of the 1997 MKJI and the VISSIM
application. 96 of 2015 and it can be seen the degree of saturation at the
intersection. In the VISSIM application, the delay output for each leg of the
intersection and the level of service can be known.
