Abstract :
In the manufacturing industry, the process of sorting items based on height and material type is often done manually, which can lead to inefficiencies and errors. To address this issue, an automatic sorting device based on the Outseal V.2 Slim PLC has been developed. This device is designed to sort items automatically by utilizing photoelectric sensors and proximity sensors to detect height and material type, namely metal or non-metal. The Outseal V.2 Slim PLC acts as the main controller, managing the sorting process based on data from the sensors, and is equipped with mechanisms to push and direct items to the appropriate category. Testing was carried out with various items, and the results showed that the sorting device could separate items with high accuracy and efficiency. The system effectively reduces time and errors in the sorting process. Overall, the test results were consistent with the design, and the device operated 100% effectively according to the intended design.
