Abstract :
Emping melinjo is a snack that is populer with people ini every region. These melinjo chips are made from the basic ingredients of melinjo seeds which have been peeled off the hard skin in a manufacturing process that is quite laborious.Based on a survey I conducted on the process of making emping melinjo. All manufacturing process of processes stil use simple tools. One of them is the process of pounding the crushed melinjo seeds using wood, so it takes quite a long time to make and the result is a non-unifrom chip thickness. The aim of this research is to make a melinjo seed pounding machine with unifrom chip results. The method used is tool desing and analysis for making malinjo emping automatically using a 1phase universal motor.
