Abstract :
Previously there were many new technologies where the driving force was
electric power and electric motors. For example the use of the motor on the fan wants,
washing machine, blender etc. Types of motors used in electrical equipment are
generally 1 phase motor types. In addition to the 1 phase motor, the most widely used
motor in the industry is the 3 phase motor.
In the system of adding an external stator coil on a 3 phase induction motor
there are very important components, namely a 3 phase induction motor and also an
external stator coil. Where the planned number of stator turns to be designed is 120
turns and 360 turns with 2 different diameters, the diameter is 1.0 mm and 1.5 mm.
This means that the coils are outside the motor, not inside the motor. In the working
system of this tool the motor will be tested in the delta connection, and for testing the
motor will be seen under normal conditions. From this modification of the stator
winding, we will see the effect on the performance of the 3 phase induction motor that
has been used.
The analysis shows that after adding the motor with an external coil there is a
difference between active power, apparent power and reactive power, efficiency,
motor slip, and the rotation speed of the motor. However, the difference in value is
not too far away, because the resistance of each external coil that is made is small at
0.5 ohms. This test is carried out with a variation of the input voltage, which is the
voltage from 10-100 VAC.
