Abstract :
Voltage drop is an event of voltage drop at the end of the channel which
usually occurs on the distribution channel. Voltage drop is still common in
Indonesia, especially in remote areas that are crowded with residents. It can be
ascertained due to the length of the distribution channel leading to remote
residential areas. Voltage drop can have a negative impact on electricity customers
because it can damage household electrical components. In this final project will
be discussed about voltage drop and power loss loss in a distribution network that
has a variety of lengths including, 25 m, 50 m, 75 m and 100 m. This analysis
includes analysis of voltage drop and power loss with manual calculations. This
study includes changes in voltage and power loss with manual calculations. From
the results of this calculation it can be concluded that the capacitor can be used to
correct the voltage drop, the more the number of capacitors, the smaller the value
of the voltage drop.
