Instant white turmeric powder is white turmeric which is produced into powder made from plants that have potential as medicine. White turmeric in the form of powder has the advantage of being practical and fast in preparation, and has a long shelf life. To be able to get these flavonoid compounds, extraction is carried out using the maceration method. This study aims to determine the test for flavonoid content of instant white turmeric powder circulating in the Brebes market with different stores (A), (B), and (C) at each store using the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method.
This study used the UV-Vis spectrophotometry method to determine the levels of flavonoids from instant white turmeric powder. The identification tests used included the identification test for flavonoid compounds, the KT test, and the UV-Vis spectrophotometry test.
The results of the flavonoid content of instant white turmeric powder from various shops circulating in the Brebes market, namely the highest levels of flavonoids were found in shop samples (C) with a flavonoid content of 22.093% and (B) with a flavonoid content of 10.084% while the lowest flavonoid content was in a convenience store. (A) 8.443%. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the highest level of flavonoids is store (C) with a level of flavonoids of 22.093%.
