Abstract :
This research was motivated by a research gap in previous research. In this research, it was explained that future researchers could develop research concepts in other industries and develop them with a larger sample size. So the researchers added compensation variables and increased the sample size for the research gap. This research is included in the type of quantitative research. The population of this study was Cilacap Police traffic personnel, totaling 80 people. The sampling technique used in this research is saturated sampling or total sampling. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire. The research results show that compensation has a positive effect on employee performance, work placement has a positive effect on employee performance, compensation has a positive effect on job satisfaction, work placement has a positive effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive effect on employee performance, job satisfaction mediates the effect of compensation on employee performance and Job satisfaction mediates the effect of job placement on performance. Suggestions for future researchers could be to carry out research by adding a wider sample and number of respondents, as well as adding other variables such as rewards and punishments.
