Abstract :
In this modern era, the use and utilization of composite materials has been highly developed in the industrial. Hybrid composites are produced from two or more different fillers or matrices. Utilization of technology using composite materials, especially those using natural fibers, has now begun to be developed, one of which is ramie fiber. Aerosil is a chemical preparation of fumed silica type in the form of a fine white powder and functions as an adhesive so that the composite becomes strong and not easily broken. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The average tensile strength value in hybrid fiberglass and ramie fiber composites with 12% filler is 209.952 MPa compared to fiberglass hybrid composites and ramie fibers with 0% filler which is 183.895 MPa or hybrid fiberglass and hemp fiber composites with 8% filler which is 184.781 MPa. The average tensile value of hybrid fiberglass and ramie fiber composites with 0% filler is 0.047 compared to the direction of hybrid fiberglass and ramie fiber composites with 8% filler which is 0.039 or hybrid fiberglass and ramy fiber composites with 12% filler is 0.043. For the average value of the modulus of elasticity in the fiberglass hybrid composite and ramie fiber with 12% filler, it is 2.812 GPa compared to the fiberglass hybrid composite and ramie fiber with 0% filler which is 1,453 GPa or the fiberglass hybrid composite and ramie fiber with 8% filler, namely 2,551 GPa.
