Abstract :
In the aviation world, especially aircraft maintenance, safety has always been
prioritized for aircraft airworthiness. The aircraft maintenance activities require
dedication over the high workloads. It is well known that most aircraft accidents are caused
by human error that might be triggered by many factors, including the increased personnel
workload.
This research intended to measure the number of workloads affecting personnel of
scadron teknik 043 maintaining KT 1B training aircraft. The measurement of the workload
here was conducted with NASA-TLX. This method possesses 6 different indicators used for
a study of workload experienced by a worker while performing. The used indicator inside
the method are mental demand, physical demand, temporal demand, performance, effort,
and frustration dimension.
Based on the calculated scores, the overall workload experienced by the personnel
could be included in the heavy workload category with an average value of WWL 83.23.
The sequenced indicator dimensions from the highest to the lowest are time demand
indicator scoring 256.5, performance indicator scoring 255.5, physical needs indicator
scoring 242, mental needs indicator scoring 241, followed by the level of effort indicator
scoring 200.5 along with the lowest of them all, whichis the indicator of frustration level
scoring 53.
