Abstract :
Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) is one of the airports
new in Indonesia, located in Temon District, Kulon Progo, DI Yogyakarta
with a capacity of 14 million passengers per year. Growth in the number of passengers in
The airport tends to be stable with the potential for improvement. Required
study of predictions of passenger arrivals and departures that can be used
The airport management is able to make anticipatory plans so that passengers
can be served well.
This research aims to predict the number of arrivals and departures
passenger traffic at YIA Airport in the following 6 months. Method used
is ARIMA Box-Jenkins. The data used is data on the number of arrivals and
passenger departures per month in the range April 2020 to March 2022.
Data obtained from the DI Yogyakarta Provincial Central Statistics Agency Report.
According to the prediction results that have been carried out using ARIMA Box-Jenkins
number of arrivals at YIA Airport in April-September 2022
respectively are 81,721, 72,912, 67,901, 65,051, 63,429, and 62,507 passengers.
Meanwhile, the number of departures at YIA Airport in April-September 2022
respectively are 79,783, 70,126, 64,987, 62,252, 60,796, and 60,021
passenger. This research has many limitations, especially related to
The method used is univariate. Predictions are required
multivariate by including other variables, such as economic conditions,
regional affordability, and community holiday activities to obtain results
which is more accurate.
