Abstract :
The development of aerospace technology in the country is now getting
faster with the existence of Unmanned Aircraft (PUNA) or known as Unmanned
Aerial Vehicles (UAV) which are aircraft that fly without a pilot during flight.
UAV is used in surveillance or monitoring where the UAV is given a camera to
record an object that is used as monitoring data. In the process of designing an
aircraft, it must have Design Requirements and Objects (DRO). This DRO will
later be used as a reference whether the aircraft has reached DRO or not.
Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) is a branch of fluid mechanics that
uses numerical methods to solve and analyze problems involving fluid flow. By
using the CFD approach, the aerodynamic characteristics of the aircraft are
easier to obtain. So that the design process will be faster. However, the CFD
results must be validated with the analytical results on the wing used. To
determine the lift and drag forces used CFD simulation using ANSYS software.
The results of the aerodynamic simulation at an angle of 0º maximum
speed coefficient of lift obtained is 0.059 and coefficient of drag is 0.031. The
maximum lift coefficient is obtained at an angle of 17º at the maximum speed
condition, which is 0.349 and the coefficient drag maximum is 0.145.
